Observations

This is the first zine I ever made, and while I used to write it off as a project I kinda hastily threw together from repurposing and combining previous works, I now think it’s super underrated. It was very ambitious – it was long, bilingual, had a complicated colour scheme, and attempted to mess several wildly different pieces of art, created under different contexts, into a collection that made sense. I didn’t particularly succeed at this goal – there are quite a few pieces and pages that I would definitely delete if I were remaking this zine today. On the bright side, this is the most “zine-like” zine I’ve ever made. I kinda like the chaos and the experimentation and the multi-genre-ness. Maybe I’ll try to bring some of this ethos back into my future zines.
