Passenger

Who takes pictures from inside moving vehicles? I do, apparently. I have a long history of making art in buses and cars. I’ve written in them, I spent several years practising drawing people and interiors in them, and so when I started doing photography, it was almost inevitable that I’d find some way to do that during commutes as well. I’ve always been for turning mundane parts of life into art, and the sort of light painting effect you get from using slow shutter speeds in a car or bus is beautiful, intriguing, and difficult to predict or replicate. This is a zine about learning to see art in everyday moments, about using the camera as a tool for reinterpretation rather than literal representation, and about my love for lines, colours, and bold contrast.
